We believe that education is not a destination, but should be a lifetime journey that requires a commitment to new skills and attitudes. At the Carroll School, we embrace this educational challenge with a passion. I know this because I experienced it firsthand as a Carroll School student. Committed and exceptional professors at Boston College invested their time with me when I was a student. They shared their passion for learning; taught me critical thinking skills; instilled a love of the humanities; and helped me on the path to increasing, but never ending, intellectual curiosity, ambition, and confidence that have lasted throughout my life.
I am honored and proud to return to Boston College to work with our faculty and staff, helping our students embarks on their own journey. Our motto of ?Ever to Excel? captures the spirit of this exciting adventure into learning and personal development.
We take seriously that the spirit of Boston College is rooted in the Jesuit and Catholic traditions. These traditions manifest themselves through our commitment to shape the whole person, embrace service to others, and instill intellectual curiosity.
Through our faculty?s commitment to teaching excellence and promoting knowledge creation through research, our students are exposed to a small, student-centered college environment coupled with the resources and opportunities of a national research university.
