Financial Assistance Babson is committed to educating students from diverse backgrounds, and we will do all we can to make it financially possible for qualified students to attend Babson by distributing grants, loans, and merit-based scholarships. In recent years, Babson has met between 98 and 100 percent of undergraduate students who demonstrated financial need; the total amount awarded from all sources was over $24 million. Approximately $4 million in financial assistance was awarded to MBA students. Undergraduate Program The undergraduate curriculum integrates core competencies, key business disciplines, and the liberal arts into foundation, intermediate, and advanced-level courses. The competencies are rhetoric; quantitative and information analysis; entrepreneurial and creative thinking; ethics and social responsibility; global and multicultural perspectives; and leadership and teamwork; and critical and integrative thinking. Based on feedback from leading corporate executives, the curriculum is structured around these competencies to ensure that students develop varied skills, and are better able to adapt to an ever-changing business environment. All first-year students participate in the Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship, a yearlong immersion into the world of business where student teams develop, launch and liquidate their own for-profit ventures. Babson teaches accounting, economics, finance, marketing, operations, and organizational behavior in an integrated series of courses. As part of the Advanced Program, students design their own learning plans and concentrations, which can consist of upper-level elective courses in liberal arts and management, field-based experiences, and co-curricular activities. Graduate Program The F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College cultivates entrepreneurial thinking that students can apply in start-up ventures and the corporate environment. There are four degree programs that prepare students to become superior managers and able to meet the needs of progressive organizations. The accelerated one-year, full-time MBA program is designed for students who have an undergraduate degree in business and at least two years of post-graduate work experience. The full-time two-year program features a modular curriculum that integrates the functional disciplines of business into one cohesive program. Founded in 1982, Bay State School of Technology was licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Education as a private vocational school on March 16, 1983. Benedictine University was founded in 1887 in Chicago as St. Procopius College and relocated to Lisle in 1901. We were renamed Illinois Benedictine College in 1971. HISTORY The College: Past and Present Blue Cliff College was founded in 1987 with the goal of becoming one of the most respected and innovative massage therapy training centers in the nation. In June of 1989, the College received its Proprietary School License. In 1998, the College was proud to receive accreditation from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology, ACCSCT (now known as Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). The first Blue Cliff campus location was in New Orleans and campuses were soon established in Lafayette and Shreveport, Louisiana and, Gulfport, Mississippi. In 2007, a new campus opened in Alexandria, Louisiana. In 2000, Blue Cliff College - Gulfport became an ACCSCT-accredited Massage Therapy school in Mississippi. In August of 1999, Education Management, Inc. (EMI) purchased the Blue Cliff College system. In 2005, a campus was opened in Houma, Louisiana, as a branch of Blue Cliff College-Metairie. Also in 2005, EMI added the White River School of Massage (later renamed Blue Cliff College) in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to its family of career schools as a branch of Blue Cliff College-Shreveport. In 2005, Blue Cliff College began the process of program diversification, to include such programs as Medical Assisting, and in 2007 Cosmetology programs were implemented in four schools. In 2008, Quad Partners acquired EMI. Blue Cliff College has a history of offering community service to cities in our communities. Bryman College
Bryman College, now known as Everest College, is a system of for-profit colleges in the United States. It is oriented towards being a career college, with classes in the health care and business fields. Bryman College became Everest College in April 2007. The original Bryman Schools were founded in 1960 by Mrs. Esther Bryman as the Los Angeles Colleges of Medical and Dental Assistants. The Bryman Schools were acquired by National Education Corporation in 1975. In 1983, the school names were changed to National Education Center Bryman Campus. Corinthian Schools, Inc. acquired the schools in July 1995. The school names were changed to Bryman College in June 1996. Corinthian Schools acquired the San Bernardino campus in 1982, the San Jose Campus in 1996, and the City of Industry, Ontario and West Los Angeles campuses in 2000. Although the original Bryman school was opened in 1960, several of the campuses that have been acquired have founding dates that are much older, with one campus dating its founding to 1907.
