Indiana State University - Online
Indiana State University offers accredited courses, degrees, and professional development programs via distance learning. Many courses and programs can be completed entirely via distance learning. Other "distance friendly" offerings require minimal on-campus visits. Out-of-state opportunities are available for numerous programs. Indiana State University faculty members who are interested in developing courses (including general education) for distance programs may benefit from the array of services offered by the University's Office of Distance Support Services. Services include (but are not limited to): * Distance course development * Distance program development * Marketing * One-stop student services designed for distance learners and transfer students. Web Development Stipends In order for a course to be eligible for a web development stipend, four conditions must be met: 1. Distance Program Agreement: This is the overall agreement that lays out the plan for the collection of individual courses that make up the distance program. 2. Web Course Development and Funding Application: This is individually filled out by the instructor before beginning work on the course. 3. Copyright Agreement: This assigns copyright to the instructor or the university, depending upon the situation. 4. Course Completion Form: This form denotes the course is ready for delivery to students, meets the academic standards of the department, and meets the best practices rubric in pedagogy from the instructional designer in the Center for Instruction, Research, and Technology. When all four conditions have been met, the course is eligible for the development stipend. School of Radiography In this two-year certificate program, students receive highly diversified instruction in radiation physics, radiation biology, anatomy, physiology, pathology and radiographic procedures through a hybrid offering of on campus and online courses. Clinical course work includes assignments in general diagnostic procedures, computerized tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and other specialized imaging fields. School of Radiation Therapy The Institute of Allied Medical Professions Radiation Therapy Program prepares students for the clinical, theoretical, technical and psychological aspects of a career in Radiation Therapy. Delray campus offers this as a 24 month Associate Degree program open to students with no prior medical experience. The Atlanta campus offers this program as a 20 month certificate program or as a 16 month certificate program for students currently ARRT certified in Radiography. School of Magnetic Resonance Imaging This program is a sequence of courses that prepares students for positions in Radiology/Imaging Departments and related businesses and industries. Interactive College of Technology
The Interactive College of Technology was founded in Athens, Georgia (as Akers Computerized Learning Centers) on April 12, 1982, approximately two years after development of the educational courseware had begun. The demand and popularity led to the opening of three additional sites in Atlanta in 1983, with a fourth being added in 1985. An initial Texas Campus was opened in Dallas in 1986. On December 30, 1986, the organization was acquired by Interactive Learning Systems. Under new ownership, campuses were added in Houston, Texas and Florence, Kentucky. In 1988, the Board of Directors was expanded and the institution received initial accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and School, Commission on Occupational Education. The initial six-year grant has been followed by three subsequent grants through 2012. In 1995, the Main Campus was approved to offer the Associate Degree in Office Technology, Computer Programming, and Electronics Repair Technology. These programs allow diploma-completing students to receive full transfer credit into the degree programs. In 1996, the Main Campus was moved to Chamblee, Georgia, across from the MARTA station, and the name was changed to Interactive College of Technology. This campus, consisting of over 60,000 square feet of classroom and laboratory space, includes ?Roberts Hall?, dedicated to Board Chairman, Richard D. Roberts. The campus includes laboratory and classroom facilities serving over 1,200 students from all over the world. The campus is easily located by its ?court of flags?, featuring the flags of most of the countries represented in the student body. Interactive College of Technology also has branch campuses in Gainesville and Morrow, Georgia. These campuses offer the complete ESL program and one-year diplomas in Business & Office Technology. The institution continues to deliver a significant portion of its Occupational programs through computer-based, hands-on training, while offering students an opportunity to obtain an Associate Degree in several in-demand areas.
